On May 15, 2024, Julie Nicole Woods was awarded the “Harrison Ford” $3,000 Scholarship from the EAA.
Julie has been an active youth member of our local EAA Chapter 863 since she experienced her first Young Eagle flight in October 2022. The following summer, she was selected to participate in the Sattler Foundation Exploration Camp.
Julie will attend MTSU this fall to pursue a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aerospace with a pro-pilot concentration. Her career goal is to become a professional pilot and fly for one of the major airlines.
A special message from Julie: My introduction to the Young Eagle Program, EAA Chapter 863 Youth Group, and the Sattler Foundation Exploration Camp have all helped fuel my aspirations to become a professional pilot. I wish to express my sincere gratitude for the warm welcome that I received from everyone within the Lebanon Airport community.
