Thank you for allowing your child to fly as a Young Eagle with us this summer! We hope you found the experience exciting and enjoyable.
Each summer, the EAA offers their Air Academy camp experience at the EAA headquarters in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The Air Academy provides an aviation focused experience for youth. Details about the Air Academy camps with session dates, financials, and accommodation details can be found at this link.
Our chapter typically selects one or two youth to sponsor at the Air Adventure camp each summer. In 2026 the chapter will reserve the candidates preferred session and time slot and we will cover 50% of the tuition for the camp session. The balance of the tuition due may be covered by making an application for an EAA Camper scholarship after the youth's camp application has been accepted. The family must arrange and cover the cost of transportation to and from Oshkosh, WI.
The are two age ranges for 2026: 14-15 and 16-18:
The Explore Aviation Camp has 2 sessions for ages 14-15; a 6 day program that involves hands on aviation projects and experiences. There also are a pair of 9 day sessions for the ages 16-18 youth that overlaps with the 2026 EAA AirVenture convention week (July 20-27).
The Navigating Horizons Camp will focus on exploring career opportunities in aviation. It has one session for each age group. You may note in the link above that there are some overlap in the activities offered by these 2 camp offerings..
