Thank you for allowing your child to fly as a Young Eagle with us this summer! We hope you found the experience exciting and enjoyable.
Each summer, the EAA offers a series of 6 day Air Academy camp experiences at the EAA headquarters in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The Air Academy provides educational activities and hands-on aviation related experiences. Details about the Air Academy camps can be found at this link.
Our chapter selects one or two children to sponsor at the camp each summer. In 2025 the chapter will cover $500 of the tuition for a given camp session. The balance of the tuition due may be covered by making an application for an EAA Camper scholarship after the youth's camp application has been accepted. The family must arrange and cover the cost of transportation to and from Oshkosh, WI.
The sessions are divided into two age ranges for 2025: 14-15 and 16-18. One camp is STEM focused and the other is an aviation ground school presentation. If you would like to have your child considered as a candidate for one of the 2024 summer sessions, please contact us via the contacts link tab.
