Our Campground
Chapter 855 has created a campground where visitors can camp for the night (or weekend). The campground is located in a secluded wooded area between the runway and the beautiful Lehigh River. It features tables, grille, camp fire area (plus firewood). There is also a porta-potty available. Note that camping is restricted to tent camping (or you can string a hammock between two trees!). The entrance to the campground is by the wind sock and is marked with an information kiosk. Being located next to the Lehigh River, fishing is a popular activity or you can just come to relax. The town of Slatington is a short walk or bike ride away via the D&L Rail Trail The D&L Trail is located across the runway. During your stay, you are welcome to borrow a bike from EAA Chapter 855's bike shed and explore the area.
