EAA Chapter 772 is located in Ludington, Michigan on the shore of beautiful Lake Michigan. We are at Mason County Airport, KLDM. We also have a "sister" chapter at nearby Oceana Airport, C04
Our chapter is involved in a variety of social and educational activities, including Young Eagles rallies, fly-ins, hangar parties, and more. We annually sponsor an Aviation Academy operated by Plainwell Aviation. And we have sponsored B-17 aircraft visits to KLDM. We purchased a write-off C-172 and installed it in our Ludington Children's Museum so the kids can "fly" a real aircraft.
Our "Global Solutions Group" is well known for recommending solutions to a broad variety of social, economic and ethical problems. If we don't have an answer, we will gladly make one up for you (we're pretty good at finding solutions, we're a little weaker on the implementation).
News Item: Sadly we lost a famous KLDN flier, Chuck Coleman. You can see a few photos on the "Gone West" page.
Another News: We have a four person flying club starting up at KLDM, with a very nice C-172. Thank you Dave!!!
Happy News: We secured a Ray Aviation Scholarship this year (2025) (Thanks EAA!!) for Reya, see details on the Ray Aviation Scholarship page.
AND SHE JUST PASSED HER CHECKRIDE! SHE'S A LICENSED PILOT!
Four of our members have started up a flying club, Mason County Aero Club, with two CFI's. They were able to purchase a pristine Cessna 150H, N49WX, and are keeping it very busy. See next note:
We secured a Ray Aviation Scholarship for 2026 as well, for Michael Wilson. He's been flying the heck out of the 150, and just solo'ed July 30th. Photos will be posted on the Ray Aviation Scholarship page.
