EAA Chapter 524

FREDERICK, MD

RV 10 Work Session #07

The RV-10 began the new year with corrective work on the tail section. An aft bulkhead that includes a mount for the horizontal stabilizer spar was found to be improperly riveted. It first had to be extracted from the empennage, then drilled out, re-riveted, and reinstalled. That process took most of the morning. Meanwhile, a new bandsaw was set up on the back workbench, the last of the hardware sorted out, and wheels added to the chair rack that Mark Sarasin built for our metal chairs. The last part of the session was devoted to cleaning up for Thursday’s chapter meeting. The next RV-10 session will be Saturday January 4th at 9:00.
