EAA Chapter 524

FREDERICK, MD

RV 10 Work Session #19

Good progress on several projects today. Richard continued work on the flap torque tube bearings, while Joe and Lew made progress with the rudder pedal assembly. After test assembling the rudder pedals, they took everything apart and prepped all the parts for painting, hung them on a rack, and then took them outside and painted them. Jim and Tom, meanwhile, finished the highly detailed work of marking, drilling, and riveting threaded rod ends onto elevator pushrods. Panels that go on the bulkhead at the back of the baggage compartment were also prepped for painting. Chapter house improvements also continued today. Mark obtained some heavy duty grocery store style shelving which was installed today on the south wall of the hangar. Other things were moved around to make our storage and work space layout much more efficient. Near the end of the session we opened the crate containing the finish kit. We removed parts we will soon need, including all of the landing gear parts and engine mount. The rest, including cowlings, doors, and seats went back into the crate for storage elsewhere. The next work session will be Wednesday, February 12th at 9:00.
