Summer Youth Aviation Camp 2025

We are pleased to announce that enrollment for our Summer Youth Aviation Camp 2025 is now open! This is a specially designed camp for kids going into grades 7 through 11 with a real interest in AVIATION!

The summer camp, open to new campers only, will be held at the Geauga County Airport in Hangar 3 on July 7th through 11th from 9:00 am to 3:45 pm.

Students will actively participate in learning about aerodynamics, parts of a plane, flight operations, careers in aviation; will develop skills in map reading, riveting, woodworking & building; and will be given opportunities to tour the airport facilities and to “fly” on flight simulators. There will be daily activities such as glider flying contests & scientific experimentation, as well as fun recreational activities.

Attendance is important, to get the most benefit of all the camp has to offer. We have packed a lot into one week and we think you will enjoy all we have planned.  Campers are expected to attend all 5 days of the camp. You do not want to miss a single minute of fun! After the camp, there will be a private Young Eagles Event for the campers on either July 12 or 13 (depending on the weather).

Space for the camp is limited to 18 students to allow for more hands-on opportunities. Registration forms and $150 fee are due by Thursday, May 15th, 2025. Scholarships are available. A T-shirt, hat and supplies are included; participants should bring their own lunch though snacks will be provided.
