Richard C. Juarez was awarded the Charles Taylor Master Mechanic Award by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) at Portage Municipal Airport, Portage WI on September 11, 2020. This prestigious award recognizes the lifetime accomplishments of senior aircraft mechanics who have served for 50+ years in the field. The award is named for Charles E Taylor was the first aviation mechanic in powered flight. Charles Taylor was the Wright Brothers mechanic and designed the first successful engine for aircraft flight. In attendance, along with friends, was Richard's wife Kelly, along with his daughter, son and six grandchildren. Portage Municipal Airport is fortunate to have Richard on site as certified A&P aircraft mechanic.
