Through the generous support of the Ray Foundation, EAA provides up to $10,000 to deserving youths for their flight training expenses, totaling nearly $1,200,000 in scholarships annually.
The program is supported by more than 100 EAA chapters, and supports close to 120 scholars.
As of Jan. 27, 2020, after much hard work by our chapter member Ken Henderson, Ken has officially submitted the Chapter Application for EAA Chapter 251 to become eligible to participate in the Ray Aviation Scholarship program. Now we keep our fingers crossed that we will receive the grant to aid our local student pilot, Sinead, in the form of funding and mentorship to help her earn her pilot certificate.
Thank you Ken for getting us to this milestone.
