Regular Meetings are held at 8:30 a.m. on the last Saturday of the month. Breakfast is served at 8:30 a.m. and then we have our monthly meeting at 9:00 a.m. Location: Hangar 3 (big hangar) at Skyhaven Airport. Address: 160 NW 251 Rd, Warrensburg, MO 64093
Public meetings will be held Jan-May, Aug-Oct. June meeting is an evening social get together for members and guests. Nov-Dec we have another social get together for a Christmas party for members and guests.
Young Eagles flights are scheduled for Apr 26th, Jun 21st, Aug 23rd and Oct 18th. Go to https://eaachapters.org/ to schedule your ride. Please note that you will have to scroll down on this page until you see the Young Eagles registration. A recent change in the Young Eagles scheduling page hasn't worked out real well for users but we have notified management at EAA about the problem.
A Flying Start Day is scheduled for May 17th. This is for adults who are wanting to learn to fly. We have a short program and then take attendees for a an airplane ride for free. The link to schedule for this event is https://flyingstart.org/
We are also planning a camping flyout to Trigger Gap airfield in Arkansas in late May and another in late September/ early October. We fly down the first day, fly to multiple grass strips in the mountains in the Trigger Gap area on the second day and return home the third day. It is a great time! Sep 7, 2024 Young Eagles Day with 23 flights flown! It was a great day with a bunch of Young Eagles who were really interested in flying!
Aug 31, 2024 Whiteman AFB ATC gave a presentation on Whiteman AFB airspace and air traffic control. This was very interesting and informative! Thanks to the Whiteman AFB ATC for presenting!
Aug 10, 2024 Member outreach picnic at Bill Thoms' house. Around 32 attended and we had a great time talking, eating, and playing horse shoes and corn hole. Thank you Bill and Betty for hosting!
Jun 29, 2024 - A great time was had at Gilbert and Jane Powers house with a potluck dinner and fireworks!
May 25 2024 - Sam from Midwest Soaring Association gave a great presentation on soaring opportunities and requirements.
May 18 2024 - Flying Start. We flew 7 Eagle flights. The enthusiasm was great!
Apr 27 2024 - Meeting with Harper Goodwin, RAF Arkansas State Liaison presenting on RAF flying opportunities in Arkansas. We're going to go there!
Jun 11 - 13 2024 - Several pilots flew to Arkansas to visit the RAF airfields of northwest Arkansas. We camped out at Trigger Gap and toured the airfields at Table Rock Lake the first day then we toured about six fields on the second day. What a great time! We are planning another trip in early October 2024.

January 2024 - Member John Cline and Warrensburg HAM operators club gave presentation and demonstration.
September 2023 - Young Eagles Rally. We flew 32 Young Eagles!
August 2023 - At our regular meeting Sgt John Cline from the Pettis County Sheriff's Department gave us a presentation on drone operations. Jeff Suhr followed up with a presentation on military drones. Sgt Cline then demonstrated one of the drones that he uses. This was a great program!
May 2023 - We participated in the EAA First Flight program flying 8 adults. This was extremely successful! The adults were truly interested in flying and had many questions. We had local flight instructors available to discuss flight instruction opportunities.
April 2023 - Jeff Suhr, a certified Wings instructor, gave a presentation on what Wings is about and then on checklist usage. Meeting was well attended and much discussion and interest.
Mar 2023 - Due to weather the previous Saturday we flew Young Eagles flights on this date. Very successful day!
Feb 2023 - At this meeting we had Joe "Rifle" Shetterly speak. Joe is an airline pilot, an Air Force Reserve pilot flying the A-10 and one of the pilots qualified to put on A-10 demonstration flights at airshows and is a civilian airshow pilot (https://www.rifleairshows.com/joe-rifle-shetterly/). Joe is also a certified airshow pilot qualified to fly the P-51 Mustang in airshows. All of his experience made for a VERY interesting presentation.
Jan 2023 - This month's topic was "Tips, Tricks and Techniques". Each member shared things they had learned to make things easier or safer. This program went very well with everyone participating and some good discussions on various topics. This will probably be an annual topic.

At our May meeting, we had the opportunity to visit Mr. Lloyd SIsk's hangar where he is building a Sonex homebuilt aircraft! He showed us the process of scratch building from raw material!
