The EAA Chapter 908 is located on the grounds of the Treasure Coast International Airport in Sunny Ft. Pierce, Florida. We lease 3 acres from the airport on which we have 8 T-hangars, and multiple tie downs located next to the airport Firehouse on the North East side of the airport. Our chapter was started November 21, 1988.
There is usually a pot of coffee on most mornings in the club house, especially on Saturdays, and we also have some breakfast sandwiches to purchase ($2) and microwave if you have the munchies. Our chapter members include a flying club, former and current pilots, some spouses, retired military, some AI's and APs and CFI's and yes those simply interested in Aviation.
We rent tie down spaces to members and also have a few rental hangars, including one available to rent for maintenance! (There is a hangar rental waiting list...). We also have a few rental Sea-tainers for storage (also a waiting list!).
Good conversation and camaraderie can be found sitting in the club house or maintenance hangar. Many "supervisors" are available to watch you work on your plane. :-) Hangar doors are open here and there as planes are worked on, primped and polished, or an annual is proceeding.... Some coming in to pre-flight and go fly!
We are in the process of acquiring a new flight simulator for our members to use to brush up those skills without putting your life or your plane's frame and engine on the line!
Happy 100th Birthday Ed!- Ed is still flying with his son! - Blue Skies!
