EAA CHAPTER 898 UPDATE

Greetings to the EAA 898 Members!

2025 is off to a cold and snowy start!  Hope everyone is staying warm.

2024 was a busy year; below is a recap:

There were trips to the FAA Tech Center, Lakehurst Naval Air Station and McGuire AFB.  We flew over 150 Young Eagles at four different Young Eagles Rallies.

The Young Eagles program has introduced a number of young adults to the world of aviation, with at least two who have gone on to start their aviation careers with the help of grants and/or scholarships provided by the Chapter.

There were two AOPA Rusty Pilots seminars and we were able to help out in the 2024 IAC Chapter 52 Aerobatic competition at MJX.  Fly the Coop was started and we had two great trips to different airports where good meals and fun was had by all.

There were Builds just about every Wednesday, with some Builds being hosted at two locations: Bob's basement and Hanger #38.  We are making great progress with the Thatcher and Jessica's RV10 is well on its way.  Bob says he has an RV14 waiting in the "wings" for construction.

2025 is shaping up to be just as busy.  There are FASST seminars and Rusty Pilots Programs planned; Young Eagles rallies will be posted soon.

Please continue to continue to support your Board of Directors with program ideas and things you would like to do.

Stay warm and fly safe!

Thank you

Jeff Hamilton, President
