From National Weather Service: A storm cell is forming 20 miles northwest of Oshkosh. There is the potential for 25-30 mph wind gusts & rain. If this cell tracks towards Oshkosh, it could arrive around 4:30 to 4:40 p.m.
In the Spring of 2024, the local chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Chapter 878 will be awarding a $ 1,000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior from the Wright County area of Minnesota. This scholarship will be a payout directly to the winning individual to assist the selected person in pursuing any career related to aviation. All applications must be submitted by May 3, 2024 and meet the qualifications stipulated below. These applications will be reviewed by the EAA 878 Scholarship committee.
In addition to the application below, leading applicants will be asked to participate in an interview for the scholarship as well. If the EAA 878 Scholarship Committee doesn't find a qualifying candidate it reserves the right to not award the scholarship or reallocate the 2024 scholarship fund as they see fit.
To be considered the applicant must meet the following qualifications:
Applicants should be a graduating senior in the year 2023 from one of the high schools listed below:
Annandale
Buffalo
Dassel – Cokato
Delano
Howard Lake – Waverly – Winsted
Maple Lake
Monticello
Rockford
St. Michael - Albertville
Jane Goodall Environmental Sciences Academy - Maple Lake
Charter or Home Schooled in Wright County Area (Please state location)
Applicants must have a minimum of 3.0 Cumulative Grade Point Average.
Transcript must be included for application to be considered.
