While we are officially based out of La Porte, Texas, Chapter 712 members live and work all around the area, including Friendswood, Baytown, Seabrook, Mont Belvieu, Liberty, Highlands, League City, San Leon, and other communities fringing the western shores of Galveston Bay. Building and flying experimental aircraft is our passion, so meetings are often held at hangars, workshops, or garages where members' projects are in work. Several times a year we conduct visits to interesting aviation-related businesses, repair shops, and government facilities, and you are certain to find us at local and regional fly-ins and at EAA's famous Young Eagles gatherings. Twice each year (spring and fall), we conduct fish-fry fly-ins, and pancake breakfasts are worked into the event schedule whenever possible. Planned events are listed on our "Events" page, and details are communicated to the membership in our monthly newsletter, Monumental Musings, which goes out via e-mail.
