This page contains a general description of regular events held by Chapter 565. For event dates, please see the Calendar section. All meetings and social events take place in the Chapter 565 building, located at the South end of the Punta Gorda Airport.
Meetings:
General membership meetings are held on the first Wednesday of every month except July and September. Meetings start promptly at đ 7:00pm. All members and quests đĢ are invited to attend. Anyone interested in joining our Chapter is invited to attend as our guest. Board of Director (BoD) meetings are held prior to each general meeting. Chapter 565 members are always welcome to attend the Board of Director meeting as observers.
Flying Events:
Several of our members fly âī¸ to local destinations for breakfast on Wednesday and sometimes on Thursday. If you are interested in participating, please speak to any member of the Board of directors. Additional flying events will be announced at the General Meetings as well as on the website.
Social Events:
Pancake breakfast đĨ are held on the 2nd Saturday of every month, starting at đŖ 8:30 am until about đ 10:00 am. All members, along with their spouses and guests, are welcome to attend. EAA members visiting from out of town are also welcome to join us. If you are interested in checking out our chapter, or finding out more about the EAA, this is a great time to come out and meet some our members.
Members Dinner đĢ are held on the 3rd Saturday of each month, starting at đ 5:00 pm. Chapter members and their spouses are invited to join us. Happy Hour đˇđ¸ đĨ is from đ 5:00 pm till đ 6:00 pm. (BYOB) and dinner starts at 6:00 pm. Since numbers are limited, we ask that you contact Larry McClure (941-661-4993) a few days in advance. He will also let you know what to bring (appetizer, side dish or dessert).
Chapter's Christmas Dinner is held in December each year. Details will be announced in the fall.
