Volunteering

EAAIAC Regional contests depend on volunteers. To hold a contest requires just about every pilot who registers as a competitor to also serve in some capacity as a volunteer!  Even then, more non-flying volunteers are needed.

Consider volunteering if you are Aerobatics-Curious.  It's a great way to learn about the tempo and operations of a regional contest, meet the pilots who fly and the volunteers who donate their time and effort, and become familiar with a contest.

Volunteers assist the judges, help with score keeping, provide logistical assistance, monitor box boundary violations, and keep the contest on track.

For information on volunteering for a specific contest, visit the Contests sub-page.  Volunteers register for a contest using the same online application as competitors, except that volunteering is free (and usually earns a cool T-shirt, lunch, and other perks besides a healthy dose of Vitamin D).
