Excellent Performance– Highly Recommended!
We have been using the AlgoLaser Alpha MK2 for a few months now, and I have to say it’s been a great addition to my workshop, especially for the STEM aviation projects I help students with. It’s a powerful 20W diode laser, which might not sound like much on paper, but it cuts and engraves through wood, acrylic, leather, and even coated metals with surprising precision. The detail it can achieve is impressive for its class.
What really stands out for me is how user-friendly it is. I didn’t need to be a laser expert to get started. The onboard touchscreen is super intuitive, and it runs its own operating system, so I can load files directly and get engraving without having to hook it up to a computer every time. That’s been a game-changer when working in classroom settings or at STEM events where portability and quick setup matter.
One of the main ways we have used it is to create components for small aircraft—things like wing ribs, fuselage frames, and decorative elements. The accuracy of the cuts saves a lot of time compared to doing it by hand, and it gives the students a much more professional-looking result. It’s also perfect for making custom tool holders, templates, and even educational kits for learning aerodynamics and engineering concepts.
