The Aitkin Flyers

EAA Chapter 965 - Aitkin, MN

About Us

The Aitkin Flyers is a group that enjoys creating fun get togethers, several times a year, for anyone who has a love of flying. We also offer education opportunities to the community, scholarships, and sponsor the Young Eagles Program by providing planes and pilots to take kids for their first flight. (That’s a lot of fuel, but we believe in it so much, we volunteer everything to make it happen.)

Our members range from enthusiasts/students to professionals, spanning a wide field including Pilots, Mechanics, and Airport Management. We even have an Airfoil Designer and an Air Traffic Controller among our members. Several have built, or are building, their own aircraft. We have people from every branch of the military. The greatest thing about us, besides our all inclusive group of the most interesting individuals, is the way we few make big things happen.

We also promote aviation by inviting people to join us. Rub shoulders with like minded individuals or gain advice from the experience of others. That’s how we all learned as well. We’ll also be organizing some group flying adventures in the future, to flight museums, tour towers, or to meet aviation celebrities. We enthusiastically support opportunities to learn about the joy of flight, and after spending a little time at the airport, watch, just like us, your eyes will forever be turned upward, watching the sky.

Join us. You’re always welcome. We’ll be happy to see you.
