Chapter 936

Welcome to our chapter

EAA is The Spirit of Aviation®
Its mission is to grow participation in aviation.

The earliest Articles of Incorporation for chapter 936 are dated August 16, 1989 for Parowan Experimental Aviation EAA Chapter 936. Officers named in 1989 include R. Mark Hansen, President, Richard O. Bates Vice President, A. Lavern Chisum Secretary and Treasurer.

Later Articles of Incorporation dated October 9, 2004 use the name Southern Utah EAA Chapter 936 which is still the official name today. Directors named include John Klodnicki, Keith T. Smith, Gary Goodman, and Frank Stringham.

Physical copies of the annual report are spotty but by 2011 Patrick Carroll and Jennifer Carroll appear prominently as president and vice president. Other officers include Don Low, Robin Dodd, Scott Detton, Frank Morrish, John Klodnicki.

Patrick Carroll and Jennifer Carroll held the officer positions and served diligently from 2011 to 2025 when the officers changed to Paul Price President, Greg Green Vice President, Gary Temme Secretary, and Robert Loerke Treasurer.

Membership in EAA enables you to share the spirit of aviation with the most passionate community of recreational pilots, builders, and restorers. EAA is the only association that offers the fun and camaraderie of participating in the flying, building, and restoring of recreational aircraft.

“EAA means many things to many people, but one thing for sure is the happiness it has created through aviation for so many people.” Paul Poberezny, EAA Sport Aviation®, May 1986

What is an EAA Chapter?

An EAA chapter brings together individuals interested in learning more about aviation as well as sharing their own knowledge. Chapters are involved in a variety of social and educational activities, including Young Eagles rallies, fly-ins, building seminars, and more, to build awareness in the community.
