Founded in 1992, the Young Eagles program is dedicated to giving youth ages 8–17, an opportunity to go flying in a general aviation airplane. These flights are offered free of charge and are made possible through the generosity of EAA member volunteers.
It’s the only program of its kind, with the sole mission to introduce and inspire kids in the world of aviation.
Today, the Young Eagles program has flown over 2 million kids.

Winona Young Eagles Camp (August 13, 2025)
Do you know a kid from age 11-17 who has a dream of a future in aviation or aerospace? The Experimental Aircraft Association has a new free, self-paced online activity program for kids from fifth grade through high school to explore aviation opportunities. It was developed in partnership with Airbus, Siemens, and United Airlines.
The program, AeroEducate, has a variety of options including online activities, hands-on projects, and in person experiences in Winona. As a student progresses through the program it will help guide the student from high school graduation to their dream career in aviation.
The program at the Win-Air Administration Building will run from 9 AM to 2 PM on Wednesday, August 13. A pizza lunch will be provided. The cost is $20 per child.
