EAA Chapter 914 meets every 3rd Saturday at 9am at Greenville Municipal Airport (unless otherwise posted).
February 18: Flying WWI Aeroplanes
We will be hosting Kip Lankenau, founder and president of KipAero. KipAero produces authentic reproductions of 4 Sopwith aircraft; the 1 1/2 Strutter, Pup, Triplane, and Camel. Kip’s presentation will cover what it’s like flying an aeroplane whose design goes back over one hundred years. He is an expert in the field of WWI aviation and it’s a real honor to host him.
March 25: Trip to National Weather Service
The chapter will meet at 4pm at the Ft Worth National Weather Service. Meteorologist David Bonnette will be our host as we tour the facility, discuss local weather and how the NWS supports the aviation community, then around 5pm watch the preparations and release of a weather balloon. Please RSVP to Carl Brown if you are interested in attending.
June 17: Rusty Pilot Seminar
We will be hosting Pat Brown, who is AOPA's Central US You Can Fly Ambassador based in Houston. Pat is a Designated Pilot Examiner and has agreed to hold a Rusty Pilot seminar that qualifies as the ground portion of a biannual flight review. Current plans are to host the seminar at the L-3 Rec Hall and have area CFI's available to talk with. Email Carl Brown for more information.
