Chapter 897

Dodge County Flyers

Welcome to the Dodge County Flyers EAA Chapter 897

Whether you fly, build, restore or simply enjoy airplanes and aviation, you are welcome to attend our events and join our Chapter.

We are a group of aviation enthusiasts, aircraft builders, and pilots who get together with like minded people to share ideas, exchange information, encourage safety, serve the local aviation community and have a lot of fun doing so. Please come to our next meeting or event as our guest.

EAA is a growing and diverse international organization with a wide range of aviation interests. Originally founded in 1953 by a group of individuals involved in building their own airplanes, through the years it has transformed into a wide group interested in everything aviation.

EAA Chapter 897 Dodge County Flyers is a group of people located in the Greater Dodge County Area interested in building, maintaining, and flying a wide variety of airplanes from homebuilts such as RV's to Antique's such as Waco Biplanes.  We welcome anyone with any level of aviation interest, from ultralights to Warbirds to military and airline flying.

Meetings: Second Saturday of the Month at 4:00pm at the Dodge

County Airport, Hangar 32. Business meeting at 3:00pm.

We all come from a wide range of backgrounds, but share the common passion for the skies above. We have regular scheduled meetings and events. The Young Eagles Program allows kids age 8-17 to experience their first flights in a small airplane. Send us an email if you have kids interested in taking part in this program.

Want to find out more? Come join us at one of our regular meetings and introduce yourself. You will find that our members are open, friendly, and have a great deal of interesting things to talk about. Interested in building an airplane or learning to fly? We have many members that have built airplanes and many members that are CFI's (certified flight instructors).
