Young Eagles Day, 2022

It was a gorgeous day to fly, and we have the pictures to prove it. Check out the pictures from the 2022 Young Eagles Day.

Finally, 2021!

Yes, it took a while, but with things slowly getting back to normal, we've had a few things to take pictures of! Members got back to meeting in person, including a few tasty cookouts, we finally got to fly some Young Eagle flights, and don't forget Oshkosh! Everyone is happy to be flying again, and it's even better to be flying with friends.

We even had a chance to have our annual flyby-out to Swank Field. Enjoy photos from our annual SwankOSH. Many thank to our intrepid leader Paul Lutz, and chef and photographer extraordinaire, David Gerdeman for the pictures.

Many thanks to all the volunteers and pilots who let us fly Young Eagles this year! Though it was a smaller version of what we had done in the past, we got to introduce more 40 kids to flight this year. Many thanks to photographers Mike Baker and Brian Burke.

The Mustang Gets a Little Love

A group of dedicated chapter members have been working to get the Mustang ready for sale. Jeff Paden put together a list of tasks to be accomplished.  The goal is to get the aircraft in an airworthy condition, leading up to the sign off of the condition inspection.  Jeff was the original builder of the aircraft and obtained the repairman certificate, which allows him to sign off the condition inspection.

Ford Tri-Motor Tour Stop, September, 2019

The Chapters 4th Ford Tri-Motor Tour Stop was another total success. In four days, Pilot John Maxfield flew twenty-nine flights, with 329 passengers joining him. There was an excellent turnout of chapter volunteers from Wednesday morning when Dave Ross ferried the Tri-Motor from Port Clinton Airport to Wayne County Airport through Monday morning when John Maxfield and Debbie Redding flew the Ford back to Oshkosh for maintenance. In-between, Tour Stop Coordinator, Jeff Paden, made sure there were many chapter members pitching in to make this tour stop a pleasure for all our guests. Most of the volunteers were able to get a ride on the aircraft during the weekend. Amanda McGee, Wayne Co. Airport Manager, and Matt Long, Assistant Manager, were a pleasure to work with and were very accommodating while assisting with making our event a success.
