EAA Chapter 791 is sponsoring a Young Eagles event on Saturday, 09 December 2023 at Lake Wales Municipal Airport X07 at 0900. This event is during the Boy Scouts Powder Horn 2023 event being held at Camp Flaming Arrow in Lake Wales. This event has multiple activities for the scouts, one of which is aviation and 30-40 scouts have chosen to fly over the other activities being offered!
Pilots will receive a personal letter of appreciation, and the scouts also are planning on presenting each pilot with a special thank-you gift.

Lake Wales X07 is 60nm from FA40 and is a few minutes south of the Winter Haven airport. X07 is a nice county airport with a clean, modern FBO. Fuel price as of 1 December was $5.50 and nearby Zephyrhills was $4.61.
Knowing that X07 is about a two-hour drive from FA40, we are also asking for any FA40 pilots if they can take any volunteers with them to X07 and back.
Pilot briefing is at 0900 and flying begins at 0930.
