Chapter 782, Vancouver WA

Young Eagles

EAA Young EaglesFounded in 1992, the Young Eagles program is dedicated to giving youth ages 9–17, an opportunity to go flying in a general aviation airplane. It’s the only program of its kind with the sole mission to introduce and inspire kids in the world of aviation and today the Young Eagles program has flown over 2 and three quarters of a million youth and counting.  These flights are offered free of charge and are made possible through the generosity of EAA member volunteers.  The majority of EAA Chapters nationwide offer these flights.  Chapter 782 does these flights on an as-available basis in the Clark County area.  If you are out of the Vancouver area you can contact Chapter 105 in Portland OR, Chapter 1111 in Kelso WA, Chapter 1567 in Hood River OR, or Chapter 902 in Molino OR for more information.

Our monthly week-night flying events will resume on May 8th, so please keep an eye on this page for the program to resume.  However, there are other events through early spring at our other sister EAA chapters in the Portland area so please see the EAA registration link at http://yeday.org for chapter and locations.  Individual 782 members can do single, individual flights on a weather and airplane available basis through.   Because there isn't a registration link in our registration system for single flights, these flights can only be arranged by the Young Eagle accompanied with their parent showing up at our monthly Chapter meeting (see our home page).  There, they will be paired up with a pilot for a flight at the first opportunity for weather and schedule.  For more information please email us at 782pearson@gmail.com.
