Ray Aviation Scholarship

EAA

Through the generous support of the Ray Foundation, EAA provides up to $11,000 to deserving youths for their flight training expenses, totaling nearly $1,800,000 in scholarships annually.

Chapter 663 has been once again approved to submit a Ray Aviation Scholarship for 2023!
This scholarship provides $11,000 toward flight training. We are seeking people between the ages of 16-19 who are committed to completing their private pilot certification this year.

The scholarship eligibility and submission requirements are listed here. Please share with any interested students!

Our Chapter's current Ray Aviation scholarship recipient is Taris Keiper. Taris is a senior at Dublin High School and concurrently attends Las Positas Middle College. He has been involved with EAA since he was 10 years old, when he participated in an EAA Composites Construction class. He began his flight training as a Young Eagle, and has already completed online ground school and the written exam.

Taris plans to study aeronautical engineering in college in the pursuit of a career working in the design of electric VTOLs.

1st solo - 11/11/22 @ Byron Airport - Jim Econome, CFI
