The IMC Club’s purpose is to promote instrument flying, proficiency, and safety. The intent is to create a community of pilots willing to share information, provide recognition, foster communications, promote safety, and build proficiency in instrument flying.
The IMC Club monthly programming is developed and produced by EAA, but it does not use a lecture or presentation format. Instead, an actual scenario is presented and is followed by a group discussion – so audience participation is encouraged! Since everyone has a different experience level and different airplane capabilities, we can all benefit from the discussion.

I am working on getting Doug Stewart from the EAA to present for this month's IMC/VMC Meeting. Of course this will happen over zoom. It is tentatively scheduled to take place on the evening of May 18th. Please check the calendar for more info.

Hello everyone,
Since Winnipeg is now in code Red for the pandemic it will come as no surprise that we will not be able to host the IMC/VMC meeting this month. Hopefully next month things will turn around and we can have the meeting. If not then I can look at doing a virtual meeting if there is enough interest.
Here are a couple of videos from Avweb.com to tide you over for now. I like these videos because he has a very no nonsense honest approach and looks at things from the point of view of the general aviation pilot.

The second one is a review of the Pipistrel Panthera. This is a new aircraft coming to market shortly that is aimed at the 4 seat, single engine piston market. It is a very advanced design that claims a 190+ knot cruise on about 12 gallons per hour. Very impressive compared to my 182 that burns 13gph at 135 knots!
