Whether you fly, build, restore or simply enjoy airplanes and aviation, you are welcome to attend our events and join our Chapter.
We are a group of aviation enthusiasts, aircraft builders, and pilots who get together with like minded people to share ideas, exchange information, encourage safety, serve the local aviation community and have a lot of fun doing so. Please come to our next meeting or event as our guest.
Chapter meetings were resumed in July and will continue until further notice. They are being held at the regular time and place. Masks are not required.
EAA Chapter 24 has been working on a Model III/IV Kitfox since May 2017. The projects purpose is to help educate chapter members and the general public about the construction of Experimental and Amateur Built Aircraft. Everyone is welcome to visit, work, and learn about airplanes. If you have any questions, please contact Jay Burgess at email@example.com or 405-819-6397.
Girls in Aviation Day is Virtual
Women in Aviation International (WAI) sponsors Girls in Aviation Day annually across the country to introduce young women to aviation through opportunities to learn about aviation and meet inspiring women in the field. This year, WAI is going virtual and developed an app that contains educational information through videos, links and interactive activities. In addition, for the first couple thousand girls that sign up, they will receive a free merchandise bag with a string backpack, bandana, magazine, and other cool materials. Girls can sign up now and the app will be released on September 26.
Shawnee Hanger Available
A hanger has become available at the Shawnee Regional Airport and the Airport Manager has asked that we help share that information with the business leaders in the area. If you have an interest and would like to know more, the Request for Proposals should provide you with the hanger specifics and who to contact at the airport regarding this space. If you are aware of someone who could benefit from this information, please share it with them.
