The Boy Scout Aviation Merit Badge is to provide the Scout with a basic knowledge of the airplane and general aviation. It provides general information about becoming a Private Pilot and pursuing a career in aviation and/or the military. Chapter 22 conducts Aviation Merit Badge training for local scout troops at Cottonwood Airport, Rockford, IL.
