Each year, with EAA approval, our chapter awards a qualified youth funding towards pilot training for their private pilots license. Since 2018, we have awarded four youth Ray Scholarships. Two have earned their Airplane - Single Engine, Land licenses. Our other two scholars are currently working on completing their pilot training.
For 2023, Chapter 1627 has been awarded its 5th scholarship - $11,000 towards pilot training! We are in the process of selecting our next Ray Scholar candidate.
