Chapter 1464

Tri-County Airport - Serving Bonifay, Chipley, Graceville and the Florida Panhandle

Young Eagles

EAA Young EaglesFounded in 1992, the Young Eagles program from the EAA is dedicated to giving youth ages 8–17 an opportunity to go flying in a general aviation airplane, flown by a local FAA-licensed pilot. These flights are offered free of charge and are made possible through the generosity of EAA member volunteers all over the world.  Events are fully insured.

It’s the only program of its kind anywhere in the world, with the sole mission to introduce and inspire kids in the world of aviation.  To date the Young Eagles program has flown over 2 million kids.

Our chapter takes an active role in the program, and our upcoming Young Eagles events are scheduled below.  For more information from EAA headquarters about the Young Eagles program or to find any upcoming Young Eagles event at other airports anywhere in the US, visit

Have a youth group such as a Scout troop, Explorer post, church group or home school group and are interested in a private Young Eagles rally for your group?  Reach out to one of our coordinators below to discuss a private Young Eagles Day for your group, free of charge, of course.
