This is a Bearhawk Patrol (Seaplane Version - Doors on both sides) Quick Build kit from Avipro. The Patrol is a two Seat Tandem version of the Bearhawk. The preferred engine is the 0-360 but engine choices vary from 115 to 210 hp.
The wing on the Bearhawk is an all metal wing with fabric covered flaps and ailerons. This gives a much higher cruise speed than the typical Super Cub style aircraft while still maintaining excellent low speed capabilities. My current plans are to build this Patrol with 0-360 engine with Hartzell 80" Trailblazer constant speed propeller. I will cover the fuselage and control surfaces with Oratex Fabric. The Oratex fabric appears to offer greater resilience to puncture and abrasion in the utility category while being aprox. 1/3 lighter than regular aircraft fabrics. The ease of application due to the fabric already having the color in the fabric as well as ease of repair and patching is very appealing.
