We do not have up-to-date status on all the events in our calendar. You can assume in-person events are cancelled until told otherwise. Some meetings may become phone/web conferences so check with the leader. Let's do our best to stay healthy and we'll see you on the other side as soon as possible!

New - Our own Jan Squillace makes the local news! - Chapter member extraordinaire discusses making her childhood dream come true at KTTA.
Annual business meeting and BOD election is postponed - Given our inability to meet in person at the moment and the resulting difficulty of managing the election process, we've postponed our annual business meeting, which includes the election of a new Board of Directors, until after the new year. For members who are interested in getting more involved through an officer or key volunteer role, please send a note to the Chapter Secretary to make your desire known so that we can get you involved. For the most part, the existing BOD will continue into the new year, though we will have at least two empty seats.
Thanks for attending our Saturday 9/19 meeting - Thanks to Dr. Karrie Dixon, Chancellor of Elizabeth City State University (ECSU) and her staff! We got a detailed look at the Aviation Sciences offerings at ECSU. It's amazing to see such a wonderful school expanding in our state!
Thanks to Mike Wusk for speaking at our 8/15 meeting - Mike gave us an extensive run-down of how the NASA Langley Research Center came to be and how it played an important role in a number of ground-breaking aviation and space developments.
Our Chapter has been approved to select a Ray Aviation Scholarship candidate - We have selected two students to share in the scholarship. Details will be broadcast to Chapter members. The process allows us to select a student pilot aged 16 to 19 who will compete for a scholarship of up to $10,000 towards training for a Private pilot certificate. For more information or to propose a student you think is deserving of this fantastic opportunity in the future, contact our scholarship coordinator, Dan Moore.
