We hold our monthly meetings on the 3rd Saturday of each month at 9:00, usually in the Sulphur Springs Municipal Airport Terminal Building. (KSLR)
September 2 – 6: The Antique Aircraft Association will be holding a members only Fly-in at Blakesburg, Iowa from September 2 through September 6. Membership fee is $40.00; Camping fee is $90 for the 5 days and the registration fee is $90 for the member and spouse + family. If you are interested, they are on Facebook as Antique Aircraft and they also have a webpage on the Internet.
September 10 – 13: The Arkanstol Ozark Backwoods Challenge will be held at Byrd’s Adventure Center in Ozark, AR from September 10th through September 13th. Our skilled EAA President, John Wisdom will be competing in this event. Prizes will be awarded.
September 18 - 20: The Pietenpol and Corbin Cub Fly-in, Camp-in will be held at Wisener Field on the weekend of September 18-20th. The main lunch will be on Saturday September 19th at noon. This is an EAA event and volunteers are needed. The 99s will be serving the lunch. All proceeds for the lunch will be to fund student aviation scholarships.
September 19: EAA Chapter1094 Monthly Meeting at 9:00 at the home/hangar of Chuck Olmsted north of Sulphur Springs at Chuckster Airport at XA17. Transportation from KSLR will be available. Call 903-850-8113 information for a ride.

October 1 – 4: Byrd’s Fall Backcountry Fly-In will be held from October 1 – October 4th at the Byrd’s Adventure Center in Ozark, AR. There are 2 grass strips, a 2,500 foot strip for single engine aircraft and a short ultralight runway for trikes and powered parachutes. There are several outdoor activities at Byrd’s.
October 2 – 4: The Ranger #14 Fly-in will take place on October 2-October 4th at Ranger Antique Airfield in Ranger, Texas. It will start at 12 Noon on October the 2nd and end at 12:00Noon on October 4th. Stinson Aircraft will be the feature aircraft. There will be a short air show on Friday evening and on Saturday after BBQ lunch. Biplane rides on both days. You can camp under the wing, RV or stay at local hotels. If you don’t like the grass strip at Ranger you can land at Eastland Airport and drive to Ranger.
October 9 - 10: The Texas Antique Aircraft Association will be holding their fly-in on the weekend of October 9 and 10 at the Gainesville Municipal Airport. On the 9th there will be a cookout and happy hour from 4-8. On Saturday October 10th there will be a Pancake Breakfast Fly-in open to the public open at 8:00 AM until all the pancakes are gone. Food trucks will provide lunch from 11AM-2PM. There will be no registration, aircraft judging, fly mart, classes, seminars or awards banquet to avoid crowding.
October 16 – 17: EAA Chapter 1094Fall Fly-In at the home/hangar or Mike McClendon, north of Sulphur Springs near the VOR at Hidden Springs Airport at 94TS.
Cedar Mills Fly-in Splash usually held the third weekend in October has been cancelled.
October 23 – 25: Reklaw Fly-in will be held from October 23 thru October 25th. Camp under the wing or take your RV. There has been some modifications to prevent the spread of Covic-19. For those interested, cleanup will be held the weekend before the event.
Tailwinds Airpark usually holds a Flyin on the first Saturday in November but it has not yet been posted.
November 14: The Fall Fly-In and Car show will be held on Saturday November 14th from 9AM-4PM at the Old Kingsbury Aerodrome, Home of the Pioneer Flight Museum in Kingsbury, Texas.
November 21: The Hondo Fly-in, Music and Food and more event will be held at the Hondo Airport in Hondo Texas on Saturday November 21st from 11AM-3:00PM.
