February 7, 2024 (7:00pm) - Movie Night at the Hangar: "1941," Steven Spielberg's screwball war comedy about a WWII Japanese submarine hunting for Hollywood, starring John Belushi, flying a P-40 Warhawk, and Dan Aykroyd, tank commander of an M3 Lee. Members and guests welcomed. Popcorn and hot dogs will be served.
March 6, 2024 (7:00pm) - Movie Night at the Hangar: "Tora! Tora! Tora!" (1970) The incredible attack on Pearl Harbor as told from both the American and Japanese sides. Members and guests welcome. Popcorn and hot dogs will be served.
April 3, 2024 (7:00pm) - Movie Night: "Wolf Hound,"based on the German special operations in WWII, KG200, which shot down, repaired, and flew Allied aircraft as Trojan horses. It is an adventure movie, and one of the planes used is "Wild Cargo," a B-17 from the Military Aviation Museum in Virginia Beach. Guests welcome. Hot dogs and popcorn served.
June 5, 2024 (7:00pm) - Control tower tour.
October 2, 2024 (7:00pm) - EAA 533 member, Jim Allen, will do a presentation on the Kayutah Lake Airport (2NY9), located in Alpine, New York, a grass strip 14.7 NM from ELM. Jim is the owner of the airport. The runway is 10/28, and is accessible by water as well as land. Jim has worked hard with both state and federal authorities to obtain permission to construct a taxipad and taxiway at the airport. Don't miss his informative presentation. Refreshments will be served. For those interested, there will be an on-site visit to 2NY9 on Saturday, October 5th, time to be announced.
November 2, 2024 (Appetizers: 6:00pm; Dinner: 7:00pm) - EAA 533 Spaghetti Dinner. Speaker is Doug Turnbull who flies the Finger Lakes area in his 1946 PA-12, which he has also flown to Alaska. Doug is also an expert firearms restorer.

Mike discusses how the condition of cylinders with low compression can be assessed without removing the cylinder, covering methods, techniques, and practices during this informative webinar. Refreshments will be served.
