Hello everyone, this is Andy C. chairman of the EAA chapter 221 VMC club. Announcing a New Location for the VMC Meeting due to our Travelers Restaurant having closed last month. I have made arrangements with the Manager at AlaFerme restaurant (The Old Beacon Club close to the Kalamazoo Airport) to set us up with a room to have our meeting! Farm to table Restaurant | A La Ferme Not sure how it will exactly go, but like flying, every flight is an adventure! Come give it a try, The address is 5830 Portage Rd, Portage, MI 49002, Just south of the previous meeting location. Come and share your experiences, and learn from the professionally prepared Pilot Workshop scenarios! You don’t need to be an EAA member, and there’s always wives and friends attending. There’s always something to be learned in these real-life based examples. And we will have other video’s with excellent guidance on topics of interest to us VFR pilots!
VMC Club will normally meet monthly on the second Wednesday each month beginning 7:00 pm!
The meetings use real-world scenarios to engage members, and allow a free exchange of information that improves awareness and skills. The intent is to create a community of pilots willing to share information, provide recognition, foster communications, promote safety, and build proficiency.
The VMC Club monthly programming is developed and produced by EAA, but it does not use a lecture or presentation format. Instead, an actual scenario is presented and is followed by a group discussion – so audience participation is encouraged! Since everyone has a different experience level and different airplane capabilities, we can all benefit from the discussion.
