The meeting of EAA chapter 175 on December 17th was a VMC club session. This is a long-standing program run by EAA, which uses scenarios and case studies as the basis for open discussion about aviation and safe and proficient piloting (the scenarios are chosen so that there's never just one possible answer). It’s also a good excuse to swap flying stories with each other!
The December 17th session was focus on approaches to landing. How do we ensure we are in harmony with all other traffic that is en route to the same airfield? We take a look at scenarios which test our decision-making skills for this vital phase of flight, including sharing airspace with large jets, approaching non-towered airfields and landing at night.Here are slides, links of the presentation and photos of the presentation .
