  The Next IMC Meeting will be Wednesday June 19, 2024

 

 

Regarding all IMC Meetings:

The IMC Club’s purpose is to promote instrument flying, proficiency, and safety. The intent is to create a community of pilots willing to share information, provide recognition, foster communications, promote safety, and build proficiency in instrument flying. The IMC Club offers monthly meetings in the Fall, Winter, and Spring in which pilots can network and share knowledge and experiences.

 

FAA Wings credit will be given for this meeting so, once it is published make sure to sign up on the https://www.faasafety.gov/ website. 

  

Light refreshments will be served at this meeting.

 

We hope to see you all at the IMC meeting at the Switchbox facility,  4500 Mobile Drive Columbus, OH 43220 on the Third Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm during the Fall, Winter, and Spring.

Title: Best Practices for Night Flights.

Date and Time: Wednesday, June 19, 2024, starting at 18:30 Eastern Standard Time

Speaker – Parimal Dandekar

Brief Description: Parimal holds CFI, CFII, AGI, IGI certificates. He has over 600 instruction hours and started teaching in September 2022. He will be talking about the best practices for night flights. This is a great topic for this time of the year since the weather is getting nicer. People like to fly to different places, and you will need to keep current on your night flights. A great opportunity to learn more from a great instructor.

Monthly meetings offer an opportunity to share in-flight experiences and valuable safety tips. Through the FAA Safety Program, aviation professionals provide informative WINGS presentations. You do not have to be an instrument-rated pilot to attend. Membership in the EAA Club is encouraged but not required to participate in this introductory meeting. Do you need to bring anything?

First, bring your thoughts or story and be willing to share them with the group. This meeting is very interactive. Participation by the group is a fundamental element of the EAA/IMC Club meeting. Others have found it helpful to bring along a copy of their flight manual, GPS manual, and charts. If you navigate with an iPad, bring it along.

Who can attend?
